Cheap Simplehuman Adjustable Shower Caddy
Cheap Simplehuman Adjustable Stainless Steel Shower Caddy with Free Shipping, Review I have had numerous shower Caddy’s more than the many years. Sadly all of them have started to rust in the first two months of ownership. I have had this caddy for more than 3 years, still no rust. It holds my razor and my poof too that is great! I can put oversized bottles about the top shelf, yes the shower head is in the way but only correct down the middle from the shelf leaving both sides for bottles. It was easy to install, the best clamp tightens close to the shower head pipe firmly holding it in place and the suction cup at the bottom does a great job in helping to steady the caddy. I’m so tickled with it! No more bottles, razors, etc lying around the tub and no much more rusty shower caddies.
I searched all more than for a actual stainless steel caddy. This is 1 of the greatest in that regard. They are mostly plain steel with a brushed chrome plating that looks like stainless. I just threw away one such after only 2 many years use. Beware of any that warn against utilizing harsh abrasives that may damage the surface. Actual stainless steel has no surface, it’s a mix of steel and chromium. Abrasives will not harm stainless steel. This 1 passed the magnet test with flying colors. That means it is a high chromium content metal, and as such is highly rustproof.
It works well, but it is not rust proof. There seems to be some sort of clear, spray on coating that flakes off after a few many years about the stainless steel racks. The anodized aluminum spine does not rust as expected, but what’s the point of having 1 part from the caddy rust and also the other part not Oh yes, built-in obsolescence, to ensure that you’re forced to purchase a new product again. I guess that’s why no one builds a rust proof shower caddy.
I like the moveable shelves you can adjust both the height and also the left-right placement which is helpful. I can’t get the suction cup about the bottom to stick to anything, no matter how many times I clean the wall or the cup itself. This makes the whole caddy shift close to when I use things in it, which sucks, but is just like all other shower caddies I’ve utilized so its not a large deal. The thing I do not like about it most is that it is so short. Its my fault for not comparing the measurements to my shower, but my shower head is very tall, so this brief caddy does not come down very far at all. It makes it so all my items are squished up under the shower head and let water leak down into the soap tray at the bottom. I believe eventually my bar soap will disappear more from water dripping on it and less from my really utilizing it.
